Dear MS 51 Community,

Today we are distributing our Cell Phone Policy and Student/Parent contracts (to be signed and returned), based on the Chancellor's lifting of the cell phone ban.  As you will notice as you read through the Policy and the contracts, not much has changed in terms of their use in school.  Unless a teacher provides permission to use these devices for educational purposes, cell phones and other electronic devices should be turned off and securely stored.  We do allow our students to use them during our non-captive lunch.

Please read the Policy and Contracts, sign the contracts and have your child return the contracts to the homeroom teacher.  Thank you for supporting us in making MS 51 a safe and effective learning environment."
